Aditya Radhakrishnan’s Professional Future

Aditya Radhakrishnan has a long history of setting goals and achieving them. As of July 2018, he will reach one more milestone – graduating from a competitive general psychiatry residency program at a large academic institution. The outcome is the result of a lifelong dedication to psychiatry, countless hours of research and study, and years honing his craft.

His journey to medicine began at New York University, where he studies neural science and ultimately received his Bachelor of Science degree. He immediately entered medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2011 and graduated as an MD in 2015. He matched into the Robert Woods Medical School general psychiatry residency at Rutgers and began his training as a first-year resident in July of 2015. Upon completion of his residency, Radhakrishnan has the goal of practicing addiction medicine as a board-certified attending physician.

One of Radhakrishnan’s professional aspirations is to help people through the toughest points in their lives, which helps explain his interest in addiction medicine. He is committed to practicing in line with the highest standards of care and evidence-based medicine. He also wants to treat each patient with compassion, dignity, and care they deserve.

Aditya Radhakrishnan has always dreamed of returning to the New York City area to practice medicine. Ideally, he sees himself practicing at a large academic institution with a diverse population and interesting array of pathology. He could also see himself running a private practice in his spare time. On a personal note, he wants a family.
